Garmin Sat Nav. I am from England and travel on business and vacation in the USA. Touring in france. We used the Europe Navigator card for our recent trip to Nice, France. Invaluable tool on our recent trip to Italy. We recently drove through the northern lakes area of Italy and found the gps an invaluable tool for us particularly because street names are not always detectable in Europe. I bought a Garmin Nuvi 260w as a portable device to take on a walking vacation in the UK. Very Usefull!!! This is why you really need a portable GPS Navigator. Simply Unbelievable. We are on the Italian Rivera right now; we just did a whirlwind tour of Tuscany; yesteray we went to Pienza; with the chip and a Nuvi 350 we drove right to it; with a map, you'd never find it; this thing is amazing; set to pedestrian mode it walked us to the AMEX office in Florence, up on way streets the wrong way as it knew we were on foot. Good, but does not work as well as in the US. January 2007. Indispensable. I drove around Germany for two weeks without once having to look at a map. Garmin Europe Maps. I just got back from Europe.
The Italian Countryside. When traveling inItaly this summer, the Garmin European NT maps was indispensable to help get in and out of those cities with smal streets and difficult addreses. Easy to use once you get the hang of it. The card is truly "plug and play. The Europe Maps were life savers. My wife and I, like so many others, hesitated at spending several hundred dollars for the Europe maps. Don't waste your money. I tried this product in the "Interior" of Sao Paulo. Easy to Use in EMEA. The product worked great - I jumped from country to country - it took the Satellites a bit to catch up, but the product worked well. Very good! I used it is Spain, and I have to admit that it is very good. Excellent Addition to Nuvi 350. I just returned from a trip to the Alps, and this Europe street map card proved an invaluable asset. BUY THE EUROPE CARD! We've had the NUVI 660 since the end of June and have used it extensively all over the U. Garmin City Navigator Europe. Used the expansion memory card in Gdansk, Poland; Frankfurt, Germany; Paris, France; Birmingham, Luton, and Brighton, UK. Better than a guide. This chip was absolutely worth it's weight in gold.
Great! The card worked great in my NUVI 350 all over Italy. Phenomenal - Worth Every Cent. This little SD card saved our vacation. Need to learn to re-boot Garmin to use international chips/maps. The Euro version of the Garmin worked well for us in France - with the same caveats as US - GPS can put you in major cities when you should be avoiding them, particularly during rush hour. Version 3 works great in Sao Paulo. This map along with the NUVI 200 saves our lives every day in Sao Paulo, and also our marriage. Great! The operation is perfect for some Brazilian cities, especially S?o Paulo, with identification of radar, and many other points of interest. Invaluable asset for traveling. Europe City Navigator is expensive!!! I bought and used this Europe City Navigator from Garmin recently (in early jan 2009) during a trip to Nothern Spain and it was dissapointing for an SD Card that costs more than US$ 100. What a disappointment. We ordered this product so my husband could use it when he goes into Canada to go fishing. This review refers to NT version 9 which I have used for 4 weeks in May/june 2007 to drive both in Spain as well as in Portugal. AWESOME CARD-GOT ME AROUND WITH GREAT EASE... The chip is a well worthwhile investment, I was able to get mine for a great price, and made my traveling so much easier, From Germany to Austria to Poland/Slovakia/Czech, also was in Switzerland, no matter where I was throughout my trip the card was such a help. Worked perfectly! This product was excellent! Garmin Europe SD Card. Very useful product throughout the southern German countyside. Money well spent. I seriously debated whether purchasing this card was justified for a trip to London, especially when the Nuvi would only be used in pedestrian mode. Okay but not fabulous. This map set is fine but as others have pointed out, you get either too little detail from the basemap and then suddenly when you go in beyond 5 miles you get too much detail from the mapset. Garmin SD for Spain. We went to Spain and had used this product. Has everything it said, works as it should. THe only downside for this is the cost.
Beware to get the right size SD card. Read the compatibility chart at the Garmin website very carefully before you order an SD card. Made driving in the UK much easier. Still missing the most in Rio Happily I just received this, in Europe that is, nice toy from Garmin. Nuvi 260 GPS europe map very helpful. We have just returned from 2 weeks of driving in France. Incredibly useful. Brought my Garmin Nuvi to Austria with a Europe card in it. This GPS and map are good but occasionally gets you lost. I have this my Garmin Nuvi 205W. Of no use in Brazil. The Brazilian map is of no use. Just returned from Europe. We just returned form travel in Hungary, Croatia and Slovania for 3 weeks. Average Content. It is a good product easy to use but not completely plug and play, it takes a while to realize it is on the location it was bought for and may need aditional setup enabling the country you bought the card for and disabling the internal USA Infos. Europe navigator card. I JUST GOT BACK FROM SPAIN AND WE WOULD NOT HAVE ABLE TO SEE WHAT WE DID WITHOUT THE GPS HELP. Lacks atualization. The brazilian map requires atualization, there are shopping centers, streets and other places that are more than 3 years old and they don't appear in the gps guide. Italy Maps Fantastic. I bought the SIM card with the maps for Italy for my Garmin nuvi GPS.
Great product. I purchased the Garmin City Navigator Europe for a trip to Ireland. Great, but unintentionally funny! The City Navigator worked perfectly on our recent trip to Spain. Better than a back seat driver! "Sylvia" as our navigator is named, loves to find some of the narrowest streets to get from point A to point B. Seeing Europe with a US based GARMIN GPS unit. The Garmin Navigator SD Data Card for all of Europe is great - we travelled through Great Britain (Wales and England), Northern France (Calais to Cahmapagne region), Belgium and South of France(Cote D'Azur) without a problem. Very Pleased. GARMIN 010-10887-00 City Navigator Europe NTI would have wanted to be sure before the purchase, that it will work on my Garmin Nüvi 660. City Navigator. There were times where it was difficult to get the satellite reception near tall buildings but it made it nice to walk around the town (London) when we had the reception. Worked in Germany. Great add-on to GPS. Bought this SD software for a recent trip to central Tuscany, Italy. Not sure I am all that keen on Garmin. Where the Heck am I. I'm currently in Schwienfurt, Germany and I wanted to put the card and the Garmin NUVI 350 to the test. Excellent product! Simply the best Garmin City nav ever it found everything we asked for everytime, in the US and Canada, city or one-horse town. Maps seem good, reception hampers function though. I used my Nuvi 200 with these maps in Spain, France, and Italy over the past two weeks. What a stress-buster! This really takes the stress out of driving in Europe. Did everything but drive the car. For a recent trip to Ireland, we purchased the SD data card, Europe for our Nuvi 660. European chip. We purchased the Garmin Nuvi 660 fourteen months prior to our current trip and felt that it has become an essential tool for American travels. City Navigator NT France. Used this on a week long trip to France in October 07. Definitely worth the cost. I debated for quite a while whether or not to drop the $ on the european maps for a vacation. Very Satisfied. Well worth the expense. I purchased this sd card for a trip I had planned to Scotland. Plug and go. The card worked great with my Garmin Nuvi. Works well in UK.
