Not 10.5 (Leopard) compatible. I am returning it. Not as easy as it sounds.... I'm giving this wireless adaptor one star to also warn the buyers that not everyone is going to be able to just plug it in and have it work, especially the Mac users with earlier machines like my G4. Finally!!! For the past couple months I've been struggling to find a USB wireless adapter for my iMac, OS X. Great way to get wifi on older iBook G3 G4 models. I posted this on the apple discussions forum:I was going to get an ethernet bridge as users here said they're much more effective, but the main issue is that it needs its own power source, so it ends up not being portable in any way, and is another external piece to power and plug in. Keep it cool! I was finding a No Device message and strange dropouts until I noticed how hot this was getting. Stopped working after only a few months. I was very relieved to find this product, as I'd also spent a long time looking for a wireless USB adapter that would work for my IBook.
Cheaper than rewiring your house! We didn't have an available jack in the bedroom, but this little thing got our Mac desktop on the network with hardly any problems. Ok. It does the job. Works like a charm on old macs. I have an ancient G3 iBook, which refuses to retire. Buyer Beware. I bought this product to make my emac wireless. OK. Have a g wireless sys and internal b in my ibook. Worked just a few minutes after un-boxing! I had no problems getting this adapter to work. Works Great on iBook G3. I bought this for my iBook G3 after the airport card stopped working. OSX users take note. The Amazon ad and the manufacturer's site say it is OSX compatible. Do not buy this. This stopped working after 3 weeks and I requested to return it and get a refund. USB Wireless network adapter. Easy to install, worked first time I tried it.
Awesome airport for mac pro! We had a hard time finding a compatible airport for the basic mac pro ( apple) bought from best buy. A rare joy... Its rare to order something like this and have it working within 3 minutes of unboxing it. Terible piece of garbage. I bought this item less than a year ago and have had nothing but problems with it. Small, portable, convenient. I installed this on a iMac G-5 running 10.
